Where is your store and factory located?
We are located at 1719 Dearborn Street, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701 just 40 miles east of Columbus off of Interstate 70. From I-70, the factory store is just five minutes away and close to downtown Zanesville hotels and restaurants. Please see our detailed directions.
What are the hours of operation for the factory store?
Our store is open monday – saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. To better serve you during the holiday, our store is open sunday 12 – 5 p.m. (september – december). We are closed for all major holidays.

How long has Hartstone been making pottery?

What was Hartstone’s first piece of pottery ever made?
Hartstone’s first piece of pottery was a ceramic cookie mold, fashioned after the traditional scandinavian method of forming elaborately designed cookies. Browse our Online Store and Catalog for our latest collections.
How do you decorate your pottery?
We take great pride in the fact that Hartstone is one of the few remaining potteries in the united states that still utilizes skilled artisans to decorate all of our pieces by hand.
Can you use the pottery in the dishwasher?
Yes, you can use the pottery in the dishwasher. You can also use our pottery in the oven, microwave oven and freezer. We do not recommend taking product directly from the freezer to the oven.
I do not see my pattern or item on online. Do you still make it?
Many of our discontinued patterns and items may still be available to our customers. If your pattern has been discontinued and we have the ability to produce that item (or items) there is a nominal charge added to the retail price for each piece. Do you offer factory tours and is there a tour fee?
Yes, we do offer free factory tours. Read more about our Tours.
When visiting the store is there anyway I can ship my purchases home?
Yes, when making your purchases, please inform the sales associate that you would like to have your purchases shipped.
Do you have a return policy?
Yes, products may be returned within 30 days of purchase; however, shipping charges are not refundable.
